Traditional insurance policies place the priority on the provider not the patient. President Bush Participates in Meeting on Health Savings Accounts "I strongly believe that the United States Congress needs to strengthen health savings accounts, just like they need to make sure that the tax code treats every person in America fairly. And that's why I've suggested we change the tax code to enable the small business owner, the self-employed, or the individual worker to be able to have more affordable insurance. Health Savings Accounts: Statistics, Savings Percentages!

Health Savings Accounts, saves woman's health insurance.

I was reading an article about a women and her family and how the rising cost of Health Insurance was costing her more than she could pay to keep the benefits. They say 46% of Americans don't even have health care insurance. She was able to get a referral to someone who knew about the Health Savings Accounts that when combined with a High Deductible Health Plan qualifies to be give a person up to a range of 41-50% decrease in monthly premiums. I have seen higher and lower ranges, but they seem to stay very close to this number. When a person takes the amount saved on a monthly basis and puts it into his Health Savings Account (like a 401k or IRA) he or she gets an above the line right off on there taxes.

To make a long story short, I have read 1,000's of the same type of stories and the awesome difference that knowing about this option has done for there health safety, as well give them additional hope for a very nice retirement fund as well.
